Alpha Fresh Food Supermarket
The aisle that speaks your language.
Gari from Ghana. Unga wa mahindi from Kenya. Elubo for amala, pondu for the pot, pilau masala measured the way it should be. We stock the ingredients that recipes actually call for — not the closest thing on a shelf somewhere else.
One food, many kitchens
How we started
A shop built by people who were tired of substituting.
Anyone who has cooked far from home knows the compromise: the right dish made with almost-right ingredients. A flour that behaves differently. A masala missing two spices. Alpha Fresh Food started to close that gap.
What began as a small shop stocking a handful of staples grew by word of mouth — one family telling another that the flour they wanted was finally on a shelf nearby. The list got longer every week, and we kept adding to it.
Today we stock across sixteen categories, from frozen goods and fresh meat to flours, spices, baby food and beverages — sourced so that the label on the bag is the one you were looking for.

FamilyIndependent, not a chainWhat we hold to
Three things we refuse to get wrong.
The actual brand
Ola Ola, Tropiway, Nido, Bavaria, Royco. We stock the names people ask for by name, because in African cooking the brand is part of the recipe.
Dry goods kept dry
Flours and grains move fast and are stored properly, so a bag of gari opens the way it should. Frozen items stay frozen from our door to yours.
Bulk sizes, honest pricing
50 lb flour for the households that cook that way, small bags for the ones that don't. No premium for shopping somewhere that understands your list.
Your list is probably already in stock.
